Been having this gal for 2 years but she's getting scrawny. I also had the same situation that happened to the previous 2 chromises and they died soon after. I've been feeding Metroplex+Focus for the past 3 days. She eats normally though, but it looks like all the nutrient goes down the drain. I really never understood what's happening to this species. Never had luck with them while my other fish including Damsels are fat.

Hanging out toward the top waterline indicates a struggle for O2. mostly like a disease effecting the gills.

Either pull it, QT it with 100% fresh SW ...and an airstone.... or let Nature finish it off and buy a replacement

Does not look bad.
Is it eating ? Assuming it is, I can guess you are probably feeding flake and pellets.
Assure ammonia and nitrate are not elevated and poop appears normal- Not white

Chromis tend to eat several times a day. I feed mines pellets in the am and frozen food in the afternoon

What he said. Chromis are not like most reef damsels, they are planktivores like anthias, so several small feedings a day are usually a good idea. That being said, she doesn't look too skinny (at least compared to the chunky/obese ones I often see), but try upping the frequency of feedings as opposed to the amount.

How often are you feeding?

They are a fish (like anthias), that need to be fed often (4+ times a day), otherwise they slowly starve.
