Hello, I've been having some problems with my chromis. They're sick and I have no idea what with. For tank parameters, I'm just gonna say they were always good cause I have no idea what they have been for the past few months cause I don't remember what my parameters from months ago and I don't keep a chart and now, they're definitely ok and are all good where the chromis is. So, my chromis have this mystery disease, and I can tell you right now it's not uronema or aggression that's causing these problems, and I've been trying to figure out what it is for months. I've posted here before and all they said was it's uronema, or it's aggression, which I was thankful for the effort and kindness, but that's not what it was. I sent one into a pathologist to try and have the disease identified, but all they said was your fish is sick, but didn't know with what, so yeah, I'm kinda losing hope to find out what it is, but I'm gonna keep trying. This disease has wiped out all fish except for one of them, so far, he has perfect fins, full colour, but he isn't readily eating and he does not eat when I feed, I assume he just picks at little tid bits here and there cause if he didn't I have no doubt he'd be dead. He also doesn't move. He sits on the bottom usually and does nothing, right now he is hovering slightly above a rock, but has been there for hours. He has also had these symptoms for months. He was in a 55 with a school of them, the tank was ridden with green hair algae if that's ends up becoming relevant, and then slowly they started in ones and twos to start acting like the last one I have is acting, I had moved them to a 40 for quarantine and I tried a shotgun treatment of meds, those including prazipro, copper power, and ich attack. I have more but I didn't use them because the numbers were dwindling and the remaining meds would totally crash the cycle and I didn't want to do that since there were so few left and the first meds didn't work at all. Some of the others were missing fins that wouldn't grow back, but others looked perfect. I had one start swimming again, but then he died, he was only swimming from what I think to be confusion and he started panicking too I think. He was swimming circles. Now I have one left moved him from that 40 to a 5 just to watch him for a bit and figured that a bit of new clean fresh saltwater would do him more good than the meds did, and it certainly didn't hurt. But he's in there and now I just watch him to see any new development, but there haven't been any. I just don't know what this could be, if someone might know, please take your best shot, I'm also wondering whether or not I should try moving him to a larger tank again. The fish they were with before haven't show any symptoms of whatever it is the chromis have yet, those fish are a canary wrasse, two clowns, a firefish, and a lawnmower blenny. They never bothered the chromis once. I'm just stuck on what it is, and can't figure it out. I also would post a photo, but can't since I can't take a photo of him, don't got nothing to do it with. He also doesn't dart away like a normal chromis would when your hand is in the tank I was able to easily catch him with my hand instead of a net when moving him, and those things are like impossible to even catch with a net when they're healthy so I know somethings up by that, he also doesn't dart away from the glass like he did when he was healthy when my hand got too close. If he does move from my hand it's a slow shimmy or a very very slow dart, so basically not a dart. So if someone could possibly provide insight I'd appreciate it very much.
Shorter version: My chromis got sick and it's killed all but one, I've treated with prazipro, copper power, and ich attack, this disease didn't affect any other fish beside chromis whatsoever, parameters are all good. It is not uronema or fish aggression with 100% certainty, please take a guess if you might know what it is. Fins are good and colour is all there. Doesn't react like a normal chromis should to a hand, sits there and I can catch him or at least could, haven't had to in a bit.
