Hi,

This is the first time quarantining my fish. They did 14 days in copper power and general cure in the food. I’m getting ready to move them to the second qt tank. My question is given that Uronema is common in these fish I was going to do the following. Is this correct or open for suggestions. Thanks so much

Day 1 general cure
Day 3 metro
Day 5 metro
Day 7 25% water change then general cure
Day 9 metro
Day 11 water change and observe for 2 more weeks

Sounds perfectly adequate to me. I wouldn’t extend the quarantine past your point of termination. As you know the meds don’t just have positive side effects. Sometimes we kill are fish with kindness not realizing all meds come with side effects and prolonged exposure to these meds may hurt more than help. I like your quarantine plan.

Question: would I need to feed it to them as I thought Metronidazole was in general cure and it was in their food for 14 days already? I just want to double check. Thanks
