Hello! A month ago I got 3 chromis (I already have 2 clownfish and 2 dumselfish). The one chromis died a week ago and the second one today. Maybe they were attacked by the others? I don’t understand how they died 1 month after I got them.

Chromis don’t eat the same way other fish do. I had to learn this the hard way, I’ve read stuff that says feeing up to 5x a day is optimal for them. Obviously you could’ve done your research unlike me. Also, there would definitely be an aggression issue. Your tank is 50 liters (13.5g) and really only your pair of clowns should be in there. 50 liters isn’t enough space for every fish in there. Chromis should have at least have 30g of space, I don’t know what damsel you have but a lot require at least 20 gallons for just one

Upgrade your tank if you would like more fish together chromis start off strong then fade away one by one . Hope you have better luck next time round and a lot bigger tank enjoy your journey

I think it will be very tough for you to have a group of chromis in that size of tank. One is probably okay. To have a larger group you need a larger tank and also to have some boss fish (like an anthia) to keep the chromis in check and prevent them from attacking each other which they commonly do. I have a 110g display with 11 chromis and a pair of Bimac anthias. The male Bimac chases around the chromis every so often which keeps them from feeling too safe and turning on one another.

Note also that you chromis death may be due to disease. Chromis are known for commonly having uronema issues. Putting them through some sort of medicated quarantine is advised.

Thats a 13 gallon tank, this tank is big enough for 2, maybe 3 small peaceful fish.

You crammed 7 aggressive fish into that tiny tank. Unfortunately for the fish, there will be more death.

That tank is too small for that amount of fish. Seven fish in 50l/13g is overstocking. Plus, damsels are known to be aggressive, and clowns will get territorial. If I were you, I would remove the chromis and damsels from your tank.

As what the others said about a small tank the other thing is this is what chromis do, attack and kill the weakest. Survival of the fittest.
