Long Island, mainly Suffolk County (I am in Nassau, but I am not taking chances) has been tested positive of Chromium-6 ( "Erin Brockovich" chemical) in tap water.

I know this is not safe for humans as it can cause cancer and other illnesses. I am worried about my tank.

I filter the water with RO/DI filter- recently changed the filter within. Should I still be concerned, or is my tank safe?

No need for concern, IMO. An RO/DI will remove chromium.

Chromium is normal in seawater. Its normal seawater form is CrO4 with a negative 2 charge, so the chromium is in the +6 oxidation state.

I do not recall seeing folks reporting test results showing chromium as highly elevated. I didn't detect any.

I've added a screenshot.

thanks Randy, I feel better!
