Chuck's Red Sea Max Nano Build

Thanks, coming along slowly. I have to be honest, I much prefer metal halides over the LED lighting. Just my preference of a cleaner look. I have up and down coral success. Most are doing okay, a couple I am sure won't make it. But like you said it is a pretty new tank, I don't expect it all to be successful right away, I just don't purchase anything too pricey at this point, that's for sure!
That’s interesting, I personally don’t see any that are doing badly but I could be wrong.

A couple are white at the base and growing upwards. I have already trimmed and reglued but feel they will likely be lost :crying-face:

Some updated iPhone pictures using a filter. I really should save for a nice camera.

Stunning! Is that a PC rainbow in the centre of the 2nd pic?

Yes I picked it up today at a local shop
Nice one, looks like it’ll be a beauty and great show piece once it grows in.
Do you think you’re don’t with acros or do you think you have more room?

Always more room :) I like to see how things grow in, grow close, stuff like that. Can always trim or remove down the road.

That’s interesting to hear. I always go rather lower in terms of coral placement on the rocks so that it has room to grow in however I think I may go differently this time and try get as many small or even mother colonies as I can in there.

At least it worked for me in my tank 20 years ago :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Latest progress photos. Corals maxed out now. Let's see how it all grows out. What does well and what does not.

What’s the large frag it looks yellow or orange and is right in the centre, it’s a stunner.

At least that's what they told me :face-with-tears-of-joy: I can't keep up with the names they give these corals these days.
Don’t worry, neither can I!
I just call it a stick

Lighting changes coming. I can't help myself.

1. Just did the XR15 G5 Blue to G6 Pro upgrade today.
2. Soon to be installing an Aquatic Life T5 HO Hybrid fixture. My XR15 will be accompanied by 4 T5 bulbs. 24" lights on an 18" wide tank.

Oh my

Finished the lighting upgrade. Now I have the XR15 G6 Pro running with my T5 bulbs. Fixture is wider than my tank but it doesn't seem so bad. Before and after pictures below.
