I started keeping fish about 40 years ago, and got into cichlids because I heard somewhere that they were the path to the marine fish that I was always eyeing when I went to the LFS with my grandparents for their tanks.

So, here I am. I've learned a lot already, but this hobby runs deep, and I know I have a lot more to learn. You can bet I am going to have a ton of questions, and I look forward to meeting you guys on the forums!

Still currently a South American Cichlid Tank owner, have set up many friends and family tanks with South African cichlids...currently owner of a 40GB Saltwater Tank for 1.6 years.. welcome!
