Well that definitely is not Cheilio inermis :face-with-tears-of-joy:
That looks more like Hologymnosus Rhodontus. So that’s a candycane wrasse instead lol. They are tough easy wrasse that will get around 1’ to 1.5’ in length. Like other wrasse of that size they will eat shrimp. Should be a good fit for you.

I still want to have one wrasse but Im like terrified of them throwing rocks and breaking the tank! A guy at my LfS said he sees that a lot and there was a couple in there who had a dragon wrasse shatter their 200 gallon by throwing rocks!!! Turned me off pf the wrasses I was looking at not going to lie!! But I do want one wrasse! Looking at the dusky, mel, or this one currently that stay smaller and dont pose a threat to my glass!!! I do have a little six line in my biocube and I really like him. Super colorful and fun to watch

Halichoeres chloropterus
Halichoeres hortulanus
Thalassoma quinquevittatum
Thalassoma lucasanum
Hogfish or tusk

None of those are rock flippers but are of a good size

Oh wow I really like that first Thalassoma wrasse! Striking colors! Might add him to the list! Any recommendations on hogfish? They are goofy looking but Im intrigued by them!

I think I already told you about my hogfish the lyretail. They are the least wrasse like wrasse. Almost more like angelfish. Cruise around the top of the tank.

I had no idea that they can do that!

That’s the species you see in public aquariums a lot!
Not mine! Lol but Denver’s is sad. Ran across it and was like ooh thats a really cool fish. I like the colors on it!

I knew they threw rocks, thats why fragon wrasses are also called rock movers! But as far as shattering a thick glass tank? THAT I didnt know! I was like yeah not down for taking that risk. I rent lol

Coris and dragon wrasse do that. Actually dragon wrasse are known as rockmover wrasse in most diving guides
They are super cool though! Especially the red coris. Stunning coloration. But that rainbow wrasse you suggested is for sure going on my list! That is a stunning fish!

@Slocke I showed my boyfriend a picture of it and he was like wow we should get one. He hates wrasse lol but this one got his approval!!
