Cincyreef's 29 Biocube

Hi all. Figured I'd start a thread to track my tank. It was set up in January 2015, and cycled w/ about 40lbs. of uncured live rock. That took about 9 weeks, so I started adding corals and fish around mid March. The first pictures I took I wasn't aware of gel filters so they're not that great. Any comments are welcome. Thanks for looking.

Pair of clowns mismatched. Percula and a semi-picasso

These were taken with a Nikon D3200 that I really don't know how to use.

It's basically a frag tank right now haha, but it will grow in eventually

The biocube thread made me want to update this slightly. I've since changed lights, and went with an Aquatic Life 4 bulb T5 fixture. Also took some rock out, and glued down a lot of the frags that had my sandbed cluttered. Iphone pics, so it's hard to capture the tank how I'd want to.

Here's a few more pics. I haven't gotten near the growth that I expected, but it's my own fault lol. I was having Alk swings, and having trouble dialing it in. I've finally got it dialed in now, and the growth has started to come. It feels good to figure it out, and then start to see the results. Thanks for looking.

Couple pics since getting the Alk swings under control. Tank seems to have really taken off now. I'm battling some bubble algae now, but hopefully I'll get it taken care of soon enough.

Nice tank! How has nobody responded to this thread in over a year?!?! I have a biocube as well as a 110.

@cameronh Thanks! I'm not sure how, I guess it just gets buried by all the other beautiful tanks on this site. Yours looks nice as well. I really like your scape, it will look amazing when it fills in!

I started cycling this in January 2015, that took almost 3 months as I used uncured live rock. So it's been stocked since late March of 2015.

I've bought a lot of it from Aquarium Artisans locally, and Coral Pets, also local. The other half has come from WWC, and a few from Spikes Corals as well.

Couple updated pics. Tank is pretty crowded at this point, as it just turned 2 years old in February. There could be an upgrade in the near future.

Hey man. Tank is doing good. Just used fluconazole to clean up bryopsis recently. Other than that tank is kinda in autopilot mode, as I've really run out of room unfortunately.

Been awhile since I’ve updated this. Tank is cruising along. I removed all my sand due to nutrients and I’m not a fan of the bare bottom but it’s working okay. I may add sand again soon. Also running a doser now. Using the aquamedic evo4. Thanks for looking!
