So really what she's doing is sucking in and spitting out the rbta tentacles, but that could be read in an unintended way by some readers- lol. Anyway, the anem has been moving around, inflating and deflating as it goes and it seems like the clown does this when deflated. It's almost like some type of anemone CPR. I know this reads kinda of crazy but my bottom line question is, why does she do this?

So I don't know if the above post has anything to do with what is happening today, but the mother rose is big and full and I take that as a healthy sign. I then noticed something hanging from the bottom of it. I don't know much about how rbtas split, but wondering if this is how it happens or is this hanging piece some kind of discard? I'd be concerned if the whole anemone is looking like this, but like I say, it seems healthy. Thoughts?

Mouthing the anemones tentacles is a normal clown behavior, but the rational as why is not understood. Typically there are no adverse side effects noted. However if the clown is too large for the anemone and or too passionate this can stress the anemone sometimes to the point of death.

Based on my experience with cloning BTA the image does seem to indicate a splitting.

Looks like a wait and watch scenario to me.

Tahoe61, you were correct. I found that hanging piece attached to a lower rock a few hours later. It was full and extended. Thank you.
