Cipro dip amount?

Anyone know the ratio for using cipro as a dip??? Or could point in the right direction
What are we dipping? If LPS, then @Lost in the Sauce is best for this, as I only do hospital tanks or whole tank treatments. I know he is on a call for work right now, so lets give him a few to chime in.

May I ask how you do the whole tank treatment with Cipro? I don't have any specific problem to work with at the moment, just happen to see this post and think it maybe nice to have this knowledge, just in case.

For the whole tank I've done 2000mg in our 220 and it worked.

This is a dip that has had a lot of success recently in the hobby as a bath. Amounts can be adjusted depending on severity of each scenario. Microbac7 is also an extra that I've been adding.

In 5gal tank water with airstone and a power to mix meds. Turn off power head after meds are mixed. No heater as it promotes bacteria growth.

I do torches for 6 to 12 hours depending of scenario.

Meat corals dip for 4 hours

all other LPS 6-8 hours

I've found 1000mg of cipro in this bath to be the best. Crushed up and added

Chemiclean 10 scoops...either kind works

Mix these dry ingredients first and then add the rest.

10ml brightwell restore
10ml brightwell amino acid
10ml brightwells microbac7
Witch hazel 10ml
5 full droppers brightwells Iodine

Hope this helps in those moments that we all fear ;)

Excuse my lack of knowledge, I just recently started doing the dip and seeing good results for some torches. Though I am interested in the full tank treatment. So you can just straight up add the cipro to the tank? Is a water change needed after? (I don't and haven't in a year since I'm doing moonshine method). And presumably turn off skimmer and UV for a bit? Thanks.

@Eagle_Steve will know more about why to do what with your uv which will help or not during a full tank dosage but I do turn it all off for the first few hours and them skim the nasties.

I've only done the tank once.

I find a bath is easier with affected pieces.
