cipro

Hi,

As far as I know that is an antibiotic. I have never heard it used in marine applications. Maybe someone else has used it, but I would say no

Hi @LOVEROCK

Came across @LRT doing some great stuff and learned. Check it out

Hi @LOVEROCK
More than welcome to come back over to Cipro treatment thread and post your results. I believe you posted you had ordered some cipro to treat some shrooms.

I couldn't find a lot on Cipro treatment for shrooms besides one thread a guy started and treated some Yuma and Ricordia with decent results. As well as @Reefer1978 also recently had good results with getting his shrooms to re attach.

There is enough posts and info out there on Cipro treatment working really well for anenomes.

One thing I wanted to mention is I wouldn't have treated my shrooms to begin with if I hadn't narrowed down to it must be a bacterial issue.
All parameters are in check for my system.
Been stable for awhile now.
My system is only about 10 months old now. I just figured it had to be my Nitrate Overdose made my shrooms susceptible to something due to COMPLETE stress out.
Seems to be the case. But I for sure didn't come to this as fix all until I made sure everything else was 100% in check.
And deduced bacteria infection was the culprit.

my cipro is arriving today, my mother jaw breaker shiveled up beyond the beyond , were not talking bout the size of a dime , maybe the speck of a few sands added together, im staying hopeful ! hopefully.

edit- not coming today , mistaken it for cipro, acutally graduated cylinders -.-

Unfortunately historically certain strains of Jawbreakers are prone to be finicky and less forgiving than most shrooms. I can say I have personally found this to be true in my system.

What are your parameters?
Salinity
Alk
Nitrates
Phosphates
Temps?

Fish Flox is cipro also.
