I have a 40 breeder with a filter that does 200 gph, maxi jet that does 750 and 500 gph. How should I place these to get the best flow?

Do you mean two maxis, one that does 750, and one that does 500, or one maxi that does either of those speeds?

I would put them in the top back corners, and point towards the middle in a v shape, I would put them closer to the top to make sure you have enough surface agitation. Then for the filter, is that just a canister filter, a HOB skimmer, or a return pump from your sump?
