Circulator pump selection

Hi

I have a 40 gallon tank. I want to buy a circulation pump for my coral.

Any recommendaton? What capacity of GPH do I buy?

I would like to buy one which can generate very natural wave. Tooooooo many brands, and price varies a lot.

I have no experience in this field.

If you don't mind spending some money get a vortech mp40. But if wanna keep it cheaper go with a wp25 or 2 of them. The wp25 will more than make a wave in a 40g. I have one on a 4' 120 gal and it can make a nice wave.

Reef breeders sells them with a warranty and a few other places as well.

So, as for the pumps.
Water Circulation and Return Pumps
Hydor is a good pump, Aquaeon is a good pump. Powerheads I should say.
Vortex and the Jebao are very good pumps, but also cost a bit
Tunze is considered a good pump, and they have fixed the gph issue.
Wavemakers are your best bet for varying water motion.

I will do more research on this. I think on Amazon, they have some wave controller. It seems like the price is little cheaper.

Just some soft coral. I bought from a local hobbyist. I cannot even tell their names. Just some common soft coral.
