Cirrhilabrus Brunneus and SP

I just got a Hybrid and it's awesome. Very passive with a Yellow Cori and Linespot wrasse I have in the tank with. It does appear to be more on the C. Tonozukai side of the family, chest has the blue scales and the belly is a deep tangerine color. I know it's going to be bold but I want it to flare up to show it's true colors but it doesn't appear that it's going to be overly aggressive. It's a beautiful fish, I can't wait for it to get in my DT.

Well I got a Sailfin/Blue throat Fairy wrasse. I think most people tend to think this is a new species, rather than a hybrid. My research indicated that it is on the aggressive side, similar to Tono or Whipfin. I was lucky to get these two pictures of him. Please excuse my dirty tank.

Breakthecycle2,
Let me pick your brain regarding this beautiful wrasse. You had this wrasse for 1+ years. What is your though? How does he interact with other fishes, especially Fairy and Flasher wrasses? I love to hear about actual experiences. I got information from veteran wrasse keepers, but no clear first hand experiences explicitly. I am very new with wrasses, and "behaviors similar to wrasses in the Tono's complex" does not give too much information.

If it's with only a couple of wrasses it will be problematic. If it is kept with a few more fairy or flasher wrasses its aggression is diffused. A larger tank also helps.

How is he in your tank? Do you still have him? What other fishes you keep with him? How large is your system? No problem? Slight problem? Mid size or huge problems? Would you do it again? Would you advise me to so it? I have 65, 120 and 320 gal tanks. I got him already in my 65. No problem. I can always just keep him there.
TIA. A LOT.

I've had them in customer's tanks. The ones that did best with others were in bigger tanks.

So one was in a 120g with about 5 other fairy wrasses. There was flashing and chasing, but it was manageable.

Another was in an 800g, that one had no issues at all.

Another was in a 60g, and he was pretty aggressive to other wrasses.

Thanks eatbreakfast.
Exact what I am looking for. My searches indicated that he likely not doing well with other wrasses. but I really like first hand experiences like you. If I seem to keep on looking for someone to post "Yes it is OK for you to put him in your DT with other fairy and flasher wrasses" I am sorry.
I see these type of posts often, but never though that I am the one doing it.

No worries, happy to help where I can.

I recognize you from RC and appreciate the success you've had in your tanks, and am glad to see you posting over here too.

Thanks.
My wrasse is doing fine. He flashes regularly with his image. Not only him but my two Flame angels, and my Yellow tang also.
In this tank, I have one Gigantea anemone, and two Magnifica anemones. I hope he will be able to navigate away from the Gigantea easy and not become anemone food. I am not too worry about the two Magnifica. They never, in my 20 years of keeping them, eat any healthy fish. Gigantea is another mater. They can be a voracious fish eater. Keep my finger cross

The gigantea would concern me. Fairy and flasher wrasses frequently dart quickly when startled or displaying without always looking where they are going.
