Cirrhilabrus naokoae injury

I saw my naoko’s fairy was behaving weak in my nano so I thought it was time to move him into my 4’ tank.
Before I moved him into it I saw an injury on him. Since yesterday (seeing the injury) it hasn’t gotten worse, in fact he’s not even behaving weak anymore and glides the whole length of the 4’ tank even with slightly higher flow. He still eats and everything, this doesn’t look like it was to do with parameters and might just have been stress from what I’ve seen in the “new” tank. He seems to stay in the lower portion of the tank, not going far into the upper areas (Possibly due to the larger wrasses in the tank). He also seems to use both pectoral fins quite happily.
I just wanted to make sure he will be alright - as for QT, it’s not a great option for me as my LFS doesn’t have many (if any) medicine. I have some spare melafix however, the 4’ tank is a Softie/LPS.
I also don’t have any sterile tanks.

Looks bacterial
Treatment using seachem neoplex or Maracyn 2 in quarantine will help with this

Yeah, that’s the issue, QT is a nightmare over here. We can’t get hold of many medications like over in America due to laws being different.

Also, as that photo above is still quite blue, here’s a better photo I could get. He doesn’t look too affected (Swimming around and feeding happily) and I hope it is possible to be helped with feeding and natural healing.

Yeah, that’s the issue, QT is a nightmare over here. We can’t get hold of many medications like over in America due to laws being different.

Fir temporary relief, you can give it a freshwater dip
I can’t understand how Europe can have stores and sell fish but limit treatment and certain equipment

The sharp edges to the missing fin section on the pecteral fin looks like a bite mark to me. The white lesions on the body can line up with that as well. Were there any other fish in with it when this happened?

The only other fish that he was with when I noticed it were;
- Stonogobiops yasha
- Gobiodon acicularis
- Trimma tevegae (x2)
- Discordipinna griessingeri
- Koumansetta hectori (MIA for a while now)
- Macropharyngodon bipartitus
And then I also had an Escenius lineatus up until last Sunday when I removed him into the 4’ for nipping SPS.

The most likely culprits for fin damage would be the Macropharyngodon or the Escenius.

Bacterial erosion of a fin is normally smoother, while bite marks are more jagged.

I think it might’ve been the lineatus as the bipartitus ignores the naoko.

Just wanted to update on this, the naoko is healing up nicely and doesn’t seem affected and is Also now displaying to the Flasher and Lubbocks in the tank.
