Hi, looking for any info/experiences/growth rates ect.. regarding Cirrhipathes spiralis.

Pictures, videos all appreciated.

I'm planning to buy one for 40g zeovit sps tank with a vortech mp40
I feed pretty liberally (mysis, rotifers,
Cyclops copepods, and Moina daphnia, three types of phytoplankton Spirulina, Isochrysis and Nanochloropsis-all included coral food) and skim heavy. I have a gorgonian that's growing and doing well.
Thanks in advance.

I hate to send people over to the Dark Side, but I have been studying non-photosynthetics a lot recently and the best source I've found to date is the Non-photosynthetic forum at RC. A couple of people there have impressive systems and are growing C. spiralis without difficulty. Divers Den frequently offers them for sale, usually in the Mariculture section.

Aquabac and Uhuru have tanks I'm watching closely. Slapshot has a very nice tank that I'm looking forward to photographing in a couple of weeks. He has a spiralis. Steve Weast seems to be highly regarded, though his tank is cold water. His site is Oregonreef.com
