Citric acid per gallon

Bought tunze citric acid to clean my skimmer.need to use a 5 gal bucket.how much citric acid per gal?

What are you trying to remove?

If it is precipitated calcium carbonate, that can work but so would simple vinegar.

If it is organic stuff (soft brown stuff), I'm not sure the citric acid is beneficial.
