It’s water soluble, so I would expect it to rinse out.
I have seen it make a thick sludge with calcium when not enough is used, that might not rinse out.
I am curious what would happen even if a little did get in a tank. A container of it left out in fresh water starts growing stuff pretty quickly, so I suspect something would metabolize it out. Maybe a mild carbon dosing effect?
