Citron gobi illness id help

Hello mates,

My citron goby developed some warts and I’m a not sure if this is ick or something else. Please can you help me I’d what kind of illness my goby has?

In addition I have 2 clownfishes, a sixline wrasse and a pigmy cherub angelfish, and all of them look fine to me and haven’t developed these warts that the goby has.

Post white light pics to confirm, but yes - that looks like late stage ich. Getting the fish into copper as soon as possible is it’s best chance. All fish will have to be treated with the tank remaining fallow for at least 45 days (76 being better).

Pics under a white light would help, but one of the symptoms I use to tell ich from other white spot issues (like mucus) is if the white spots are on the soft portion of the fish's fins. If so, it is more likely to be ich. I think I can see spots on this fish's fins.....

Thanks guys! My situation is I started recently and do not have a QT tank established and do not have the resources to establish one.

My tank has anemones, corals and some inverts in it so medicating it will be the end of them. Right know he’s in a breeders box as I wasn’t sure what he had.

Is there something else I can do to avoid that the other fish get it? Are the other fish considered infected? I want the other fish to have a fighting chance. Today I am going to install a UV light to at least fight the illness in the water, will that and a more changes of water help? Can the UV light kill the illness in the tank?

without a QT you're in trouble, get a bucket and an airstone, that can serve as an emergency QT

There are protocols in place for managing ich in the display, but once it reaches outbreak proportions like this, treatment becomes the only option.
Unfortunately, all feed safe treatments are also quite ineffective on ich.
It is safest to assume all fish are infected.

What about the water in the tank? What do I need to do to eliminate the ich from there? Will an UV light take care of it? How long will it live in the water?

Appears to be cryptocaryon whichis marine ich but I too would like to see pics under white lighting to fully confirm. Throwing a fish in a bucket with airstone is great for a dip but not a hospitl setting.
An acceptable Quarantine tank would be a starter kit from walmart which has the essentials needed. For this type of fish, coppersafe or copper power are best bets for treatment and a Hanna copper test kit to monitor copper levels (2.25 -2.5) will be necessary
As for water in current tank, You will need to leave that tank fishless(fallow) for 6-8 weeks and followed by a water change before restocking. Coral and inverts can remain in the display.

Keep up with your standard water change protocol. Use different equipment for the qt and dt.
The point of the fallow period is to ensure that all ich in the display tank starves out by the time the fish get in the tank.

EDIT - when I wrote this - I did not see the other responses - so sorry for the repeat. To me - the fish looks extremely thin - in addition to the spots.

The pictures could be better. And more history would be helpful. Is it in a medicated tank>. was it quarantined? is it eating, etc breathing normal? I would suggest pictures under white light. The spots look too large to be velvet. It could be CI - but some of the spots (if I'm seeing what you're talking about) look too big to be that as well - I was wondering about lymphocystis. BUT - if it has not been QT'd - I would consider the protocol at the top of the forum.

Thanks to you all and sorry for the missing background information formation. He’s not quarantined. At this moment he is in a breeder box as I do not have a quarantine tank as mentioned before. He was eating up to 2 days before I had to evacuate due hurricane Ian and came home late yesterday since then I have no seen him eating.

My last post had better pictures, hopefully it does the trick.
