Clam falling over but still firmly attached?

I’ve had my clam for about 6+ months now and it has been loving life (to my knowledge) . All my water parameters were tested and we’re within normal ranges.

This week the clam has been leaning, and when I try to upright it, it tightens its strands and is still firmly planted. It is still extending its mantle

Is the clam trying to get more flow through its gills? Any ideas?

If it's firmly attached and you see new shell growth, let it be. Constantly moving a clam is very stressful and can kill the clam if you keep messing with it. It's moving because it wants something different, either in regards to flow or lighting. Again, check for new shell growth on the upper margins of the shell and you're good to go.

You can turn the rock a little to get the clam fully face upright. I would not cut him loose from the rock.
