would a fuge containing clams and feather dusters adequately lit act as a good source of filtration secondary to my skimmer?

thanks

i have heard that clams don't absorb as many nutrients as we are led to believe i think mangroves would be much more effective

I used a few hundred small coquina type clams in a fuge. Over the years gave many of them away, not sure just how much nutrient export they did. They did well and reproduced. I am sure they helped and also added some eggs and larvae into the system as zooplankton. Also have sponges and featherworms with maco and mangoves. All of them make a fully balanced refugium.

thanks guys appreciate it, i had read a couple of people raving about there nutrient export abilities...

im not familiar with coquina clams...
