i bought some zoas months ago and today i noticed they had been moved or pushed off the rock which i though was odd to. Got close to them a notice the moved shut almost and i looked closer to see it open noticing it was a clam not a rock the zoas were growing on
What kinda clam lol

That might be the coolest hitchhiker ever, but don't they require very different lighting? Clams high and zoas low? Different flow as well.
Thats what im thinking. Its been underneath a rock kimda growing up the side. One day a week or two ago i noticed the zoas receding back now i see a clam opening
Wonder if itll grow

idk what kinda clam it is but im gonna keep him. Hes been in the tank for 5 months at this point
Should i try and remove the zoas i wonder

A very common hitchhiker known as a bivalve scallop often referred to as clam

Welcome am jealous. That is awesome but it doesn’t make sense to me. Do you have a build thread? I’d follow just to watch this unfold. Clams and zoas, two of my favorite things.

I believe that these clams aren’t photosynthetic, but I could be wrong.
