Clam ID please

Bought some fuge rock from salty bottom-hooked it up for 6 lbs btw! Well I threw some of the pieces with coralline in my display until my love rock arrives.

Anyway I have a strange clam like creature on a rock. Not sure if it's alive or not. Anybody know what it is by chance?

Thanks man...figured this much. Thought maybe it had a particular name. Reason is the opening is covered in a hard black resin like substance and I'm wondering if this means dead or like hibernating.

I got the same clam (about 2.5ish inches long) from Salty Bottom a couple weeks ago in some live rock rubble. Mine is very alive and also right to the left of it is a small oyster or clam about the size of a nickel that is also doing well. Been feeding Phyto Feast, Microvore Diet from Brightwell, Reef Roids, Benereef, Live Rock Enhance and Reef Enhance from Reefbrite, Red Sea AB+, Aqua Forrest -NP Pro, AF Vitality and Pro Bio S. I switch around on all these except the Phyto Feast is daily, sometimes twice daily. It seems to be doing well, I just wish I could ID it. Looks like some type of boring clam but I can’t find anything online that looks similar.
