So I picked up this clam back in November but have forgotten what type it was labeled as. Can someone help me figure out what time of clam it is?

I should have included this in the title, I picked it up because I have always wanted to try a clam and wanted an ORA clam to try to be sustainable. I picked this guy up because he was listed as "damaged" or something like that when sold to the shop, which meant I got it for a steal.

Being ORA limits it to being Squamosa, Derasa, or Maxima. Judging by the shell I am leaning towards Maxima...

Maxima....looks like the exhalent siphon might be lower than the inhalent slit in that pic. The tube should be higher than the mouth...

OK, from reading, I am leaning toward Maxima even more. Here are some more photos.

Did not realize that, this has been my first clam. Is it positioned better now?

So sometimes it is nice if you can go straight to the source. Posted the last pic on Instagram and ORA identified it for me as their Golden Maxima.
True. But I think it's even better to reasearch from reliable sources and then have it confirmed by a pro.
