Clam/Muswell thing dead. Water quality help

Hi guys

Wondering if you can tell me what's wrong with my water and what probably killed my clam/Muswell thingy in photo below
Salinity 1.028 . I removed 8ltrs last night and replaced with ro and now Mussell was open in morning with nothing inside. New salinity reading 1.024
Alk 8.9
Ph 7.9
Po4 0.2 ( pretty high?)
Ca 410
Mg 1371
Ammo nh4 0
No2 0
No3 2

Did I stuff up dropping salinity rapidly?

And lastly what was the name of it as I have no idea what the real ID is?

Clams/mussels/oysters are pretty hardy but most do not do well in the aquarium environment because of lack of proper nutrition. Unless you were feeding Phyto on a daily basis, it's days were numbered. The salinity drop may have been a contributing factor but it looks like it may have passed and you other tank inhabitants to advantage of a free meal and cleaned house.
BTW it looks like it may have been some kind of oyster.

Thanks mate. Yeah thought oyster after I sent the post. I was only dosing seachem phyto marine once a week. Yep something got a good meal

For Bivalves, you pretty much have to do live Phyto daily.

Thanks mate. I'd say that explains it, the salinity drop may have been coincidence or the final knock on a dieing oyster
Now I feel like oysters for dinner
