Clam problems?

I have had this clam for over a year and it's done really well woke up and it looked like this any info would be greatly appreciated

I don't see anything wrong with the clam. I would be careful around that hydnophora though, there stings can be potent.

All the edges seem like there folded in allot more than usual

Could be flow but the clam looks normal. I don't see any signs of pinched mantle. As long as there is new shell growth under the mantle then the clam is growing and healthy. Maybe at night look in the tank and see if any corals are stinging the clam.

Thank that's why I worried through all the ups and downs I have had in this tank the clam has held strong I would hate to lose it

+1 @DSC reef and I'd like to add that not only does it appear fine. It looks beautiful. You've done a great job over the past year with the health of this beauty.

I would consider the possible coral stinging as mentioned.

Thank you very much. I just moved the coral that was close. I planned on getting rid of it that's why it's just lying around.

Today's project is getting this coral beauty out of my tank he's eating my toadstool. He's not very easy to catch

Dwarf angels can be hit or miss unfortunately. We had good luck with coral beauty and flame angels.

Yeah that's what I heard this guy is a terror I going to try turning the lights out and netting him

If you have room in the tank, there's some good info on making a fish trap out of a 2-litre bottle. Might help

Another idea if you can't catch him, try to feed a bit more. We always fed heavy with reef nutrition and LRS and nori, maybe that helped in the long run.

Yeah there's not enough room in my tank and I have been feeding heavy and I put nori in today in hopes he would back off and he's still going for the toadstool he likes it
