Clam Question

I have my first clam. Will it get enough lights at the bottom of my 180g? I am running AI Vegas and the clam would be about 30 inches from the lights.

Clam will tell you if it is getting enough light. If the mantel is real long and reaching, move it up.

Oops. Didn't take FTS showing lights. This is the first day I had him in rockwork 2/3 up from bottom. He kept jumping off into the sand.

These pic were taken about 30 minutes ago on the sandbed.

Nice little Crocea, they prefer to have a lot of light. I would leave it on the sandbed for a few days and then move it up again. If it jumps then leave it be for a while. Too many moves and you'll stress it out.

T-Crocea clams are also known as the rock boring clam and are best placed on rock. At least place an old clam half shell under it as it will need something to attach to. If at all possible, never let it jump.

Beautiful clam you have there.

I have a small flat rock propping mine up in the sand. I will put a half shell under it if it hasn't already attached to the little rock.
