Clam Sellers?

Where are you guys sourcing your clams? Way 'back in the day' there were a number of great places to buy Maximas. One in particular that I remember was 'Cappuccino Bay' that had a boatload of WYSYWIG inventory. Can't seem to find much these days and a clam is something that really needs to be seen - unlike frags, each one is different. Can y'all point me in the right direction?

I got mine from clammania and it was a great experience. Wasn’t WYSIWYG but he does show lots on instagram and does live sales, so you could get WYSIWYG if you wait until the right time. The order came with his personal contact information and we chatted for a bit when my clam got here to make sure it acclimated well. Overall really happy with the experience.

Usually I purchase from my LFS, but my last order was from @REEF EXCLUSIVE and I’m very happy with the quality. Both maximas show active shell growth on delivery which is not common IME. The clams extended their mantles right away and look great.

Nope, all Maximas. Though there were one or two blue squammys and a more than a few croceas that looked interesting.

Biota has some WYSIWYG clams at times, but no maximas usually. Lots of Crocea, squammy, derasa though. ORA is an option too. That is where I have gotten most of mine. Except when gotten at a frag or reef show.
