Clam with huge green brittle star?

I have a HUGE green brittle star in my 120. I've named him The Kraken. He is about 14 inches in diameter if not larger. I've wanted to have a maxima clam for a long time now but I'm worried that my starfish will eat it. He does fine with other fish and all of my inverts and is well fed. I've never seen it leave the bottom of the tank so I'm thinking if I place the clam on my rock work it would be safe
