Back story:
I met the owner once at a trade show in Chicago. At that time I purchased a 5" very colorful Maxima clam from him at the show. He used a (rather small) ziplock sandwich bag to package the clam. I was already skeptical but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt because after all, he has shipped them from CA to Chicago so he has to know a thing or two about shipping right? The clam was gaping and almost immediately died after I acclimated it and placed in my home tank. I tried to then connect with him via IG messenger. He promised to do "something" for me at the time. I'd follow up about once a week to probe. He's always busy and wouldn't response right away. After a few weeks just went completely silent. I have not seen him in trade shows for a few years after that.
This year, he suddenly began posting a lot of clam videos and photos and selling them on IG, despite not having a website, nor payment methods posted. So I reached back again to revisit our previous conversation. Same thing- he said he'd get back to me and do something for me but then will drop silence after a while. I'd then have to follow up and ask. I even offered to pay and buy some of what he has in stock but he either need help, or is avoiding me because he is ALWAYS too busy to reply me.
So I have to ask- Does anyone have actually successfully bought from this guy, and with good quality in both the livestock and service? Is it just my dumb luck that he treats me like crap? I know you can't really reply here so please PM me your thoughts on this guy.
And if you are clammania.ig, I sincerely love clam and want to work with you, please don't keep blow me off, that is, if you are legit. Please PM me, and if we can get something worked out I'll post again here to close the loop on any doubts on you.
