I'm looking to get a clam but I want to know what types of other fish/inverts I should avoid that might potentially eat the clam.

Butterflies, angels, excessive amounts of hermit crabs.... That's all I can think of right now but I'm sure there's a lot more.

Oh man I almost picked up an angel today too. Good thing I didn't.

My two wrasses don't bother my clam. My hermits don't either, although there is one that is getting on the big side. It still eats algae though. Nobody messes with the clam. I check on it daily by putting my hand to make a shadow over it. It retracts. I guess the clam is good.

Just YOLO it

Hahaha

Might be the only way to just see what happens. If the clam is bigger, is it less likely to get attacked?

Not worth yoloing it when you're dealing with living creatures imo.
And no, a bigger clam is just a bigger and more expensive meal.

Luckily, I don't have anything that wants to mess with my bad butt clam. His name is MF clam for a reason! Although I do check on him all the time by seeing if anything is encroaching on his territory. I also put my hand over MFC's lights to make sure he retracts quickly. Any delay would cause him to be in the quarantine area immediately.

Why can't all the awesome fish just get along? Lol
I finally had enough with my jerk six line constantly beating up on my leopard. I grabbed my large ice chest and had already pulled one large rock from the tank to remove the six line. Suddenly everything was fine. The two fish were swimming together and very happy. I sort of think moving one big rock was a come to jesus moment for the six line. I have had no problems with any aggression since.
