I've got 4 clams on new rock I purchased, in a 40g breeder. 2 of these I need IDed(see pic below) and 2 what looks like turkey wing clams, one of which is pretty big (over 2in)

My question is, should I leave these guys in here? Do I have to take extra care to keep them surviving? They open and close about 1/4 inch pretty frequently. Thank you!

Btw I love this forum. Everybody is extremely helpful. TIA!

Clams are rarely gonna bother anything. But what have to watch is the live stock you're putting in it your clams may become dinner. Also you're gonna have to either feed your clams or maintain a "dirty" tank or they'll starve.

Not clam but rather common and known as bi-valves. They filter water and are actually related to scallops but have clam appearance
