Wow that's really unusual, so you got a frag/colony with clams embedded into the corals skeleton ?
(Also the torch seems to have had a tissue recession once)
-I have no idea how to remove them without hurting any of those creatures (sorry)

I've had this torch for a long time. the bump on the side kept getting bigger. today was the first time I noticed that they were actually some type of clam. but where it is it would be tough to remove I think. There are a few of them there.

Why not keep them? Kinda cool. Won’t bother your torch.
if they won't bother it then I'd keep. though I'd like to know what type? if they keep growing, wouldn't it kill the torch by clam size alone?

Type of bivalve I believe, I’ve got one on a torch closer to the frag plug and just left it alone that started similar like a small bump. Yours is right next to the tissue so I’m not sure. Had one also on a branching frogspawn that died after a dip.

it appears that there are 4 of them. They're also on the side the flow comes from.

Power back?
Yeah. Lost my refeugium again though, may invest in a algae scrubber

Anyway they're not boring clams, boring clams drill large, perfectly circular holes through the skeleton of corals, you wouldn't see their shell at all

They won’t get much bigger. Bivalves stay small.
