So I am wanting to put a clam in my aquarium with my corals and clowns. Do any of you guys have suggestions for a good choice to put in a 29 gallon nano? Has anyone had success keeping one in a nano? I have researched it and read many post and articles from people saying they successfully kept them for years in smaller tanks but I would like to hear some actual experience with it. Thanks in advance..

Good water quality and good lighting, shouldn't matter if it's a smaller tank. I had a Squamosa in a 40 breeder for years. Happy and healthy.

29g tank... I'd probably suggest a Crocea, they stay a bit smaller than some of the others. Might want to steer clear of gigas clams :)

I definitely want to stay with something on the smaller side. I have never had one so honestly I really don't know what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion

I agree. Good lighting and stable chemistry is a must. If it's your first clam try a hardier species like squamosa. I'd say deresa but they grow quickly but at some point any clam will outgrow the tank so maybe look at at a nice 2-3". Try to avoid tiny clams. Crocea are really nice, just avoid clams under 2"
