I was breaking down a very neglected tank today and found 6 or so of these clams hanging out in the tank. Safe to move to my display tank?

Do you think they help keep parameters stable?

They're basic bivalve filter feeders, the tank cant be too neglected. Otherwise you'd have an algea and bacteria farm. Put em in the display, no mollusc has anything as they are mostly sessile. Plus if you have triggers and rays, then they have a fresh snack.
