I've been using the Seachem Phosphate test kit, and just want to make sure I'm using the sample pipette correctly. The instructions show the sample going to the base of a round bulb, but the actually pipette has an angled bottom and the natural fill spot from squeezing the bulb goes to line "A" in my picture, but I've been making it stop at line "B". Line "B" gives me a more favorable reading, but I want to make sure I'm using the correct sample.

So, Line A or Line B fill in pipette?

Sorry this isn’t helpful, but I hate test kits with crap like this. Total junk. Return it and purchase something more scientific and accurate like red sea

Yeah I think "B" is the most obvious and may be just getting to technical pointing out the differences in the curvature of the bulb of the instructions and actual. However, sucking water up to the B line requires a little balancing act with holding the bulb partially depressed, where a full release of the bulb brings it up to line A (where there happens to be a line from either the molding of the plastic, or an intended fill point.)

I think the measurement portion of the kit itself is pretty decent. Lots of precision in the lower range, and the way the color slider works allows you to dial in to almost the exact color you are seeing. Just wish the sample pipette was a little more clear, or gave you the mL so you'd have another choice of the sample.
