Hey guy,

I plan to get a clarisea roller filter but I'm having issue on where to place it in my sump.

As u can c the water comes down on the right hand side piping and the 1st 2 compartments is too small to place the filter. Question is if I were to place it somewhere else, will it make the filter less effective?

I dont personally run one...but i wouldnt think it would be less effective no matter where it was placed. Put it where it fits.

You do not have to put it underwater. I would only have a 1" or so underwater. It will pull more out of the water the higher out of the water it is. I run mine as the first filter off the drain. I have the XL fleece running on mine and it only lasts about 3 weeks. If you have any issues with it let me know I have found about every problem and the fix. Their support is great!
