Hello,
Can anyone tell me if they have had issues with a clarisea effecting there water level for an auto top off.

my ato keeps going off and thinking it’s down to the clarisea when it’s clean and dirty.

anyway of fixing this?

The level in the clarisea should remain rather steady until the roll is changed out for a fresh roll. My level in the roller filter stays right at the float, and as the roll clogs, it raises and triggers the float and slightly lowers. What sump do you have? Where are the baffles? Where is the ato sensor? Any pictures?

I have a customsump as you can see below in the photos.
Sensor is in the return section.
Using a manifold with a gate valve on that drains into the clarisea

If your water level in the clarisea is staying near the float switch (like it should) I don’t see how that’s affecting the ato. What ato is that?

sometimes the water level in the clarisea is lower though

That’s odd. My clarisea roller turns for a split second to get enough clean fleece to lower the water level from the float. The float is basically the on/off switch as far as I understand. The water level is only significantly lower when I replace the roll and it’s all new fleece in the unit.

Have you verified the water level in the return when the ato is on? Is it actually low?

How long does it take for a new roll to start moving just installed a Clarisea in my new tank and after 5 days it’s still like this.

Until you have enough in the tank to “clog” the fleece. Mine took a week or 2 once I started adding fish/feeding
