Clarity 9W UV - no longer working - and spring cleaning

When things do well for a time, then things go downhill - a reefer with way more experience than yours truly suggested a "Spring Cleaning". It's been 8 months since I started this sump, so...

Ok... Got lots of RODI for washing / rinsing - there's a big storm up here - lets get dirty to get a cleaner sump.

After just 10 minutes - I see this. Geez, no wonder in my return section of the sump I was getting lots of algae, especially hair, also making it's way in the DT.

I wonder if it was leaking voltage - too late to know now. The bulb has a transformer, the input is 115vac and the output just says 5-7-9w ballast.
Time to break out the spares.
