How do I get my water to be that amazing clarity that I see in so many aquariums? My water parameters are on point but at times my water can look murky compared to some of the crystal clear pictures I see from other on this site..

Activated carbon made my cloudy water very clear (cloudy probably from feeding clams/oysters and the like as noticed cloudiness as switched to these foods) and had toadstool coral in pieces ripped from rocks day before go on one week holiday so mainly got activated carbon for that.
Just in a bag and pegged to side of water fall in sump so water passes through it.worked great

How big is your tank I purchased a Amazon UV sterilizer for like 50bux and made my water super clean looking I now leave it on 24/7

45 gallon.. I just didn’t know about these liquid additives that say they will clear them tremendously

I use carbon but just doesn’t seem to clear it to like that picture (it’s amazing by the way) maybe not using enough?

The only like additive I’ve used was seachem clarity or pristine I can’t remember but I haven’t in a long time. Filter floss polishing pads activated carbon uv sterilizer and good water changes should give you crystal clear water

I’m using a hob filter with just some activated carbon and filter floss and change it every week when I do a 10 gallon water change and run my uv sterilizer 24/7. COOSPIDER Sun JUP-01 Aquariums in Tank Submersible Machine 211gph 9 Watt fit for 80Gallon (JUP 01 Set + 2X Replace Filter + 1x Spare Bulb) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DFR6CRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_S7DD0NXVQ0X3SMSWZ4JA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Carbon worked for me but if you want a cheap and easy option you could try running a filter floss. My mate had brilliant luck with the floss. Good luck

I have a 55 gallon with HOB filter. About 2 weeks ago I added an in tank protein skimmer (Tunze Comline DC) and it seems to have helped quite a bit with the clarity and cleaning up the water. It wasn't immediate, but 2 weeks in I'm liking how it looks.

I rinsed my sand 150 times in two until it came out clear ! And now I never have cloudy water anymore ! My CUC would kick up little cloud storms but now since the sand is cleaned no more clouds I’m able to take really clear pics now !

Water clarity can mean different things..

Mechanical filtration like filter socks or a roller mat remove "floaties" basically small particulates in the water.

Activated carbon will take care of yellowing water.

UV can help with hazy water from bacteria but I prefer using calcium carbonate powder mixed in rodi water. Buy it from the drugstore or even amazon. Mikeymikemike has a video about this method on youtube.

Hazy water also should decrease as the tank matures
