Charles Delbeek was careful to state they did not know precisely why all the donated corals died. He went on to point out the aquarium was built with multiple skylihgts over the aquarium so it was illuminated with both natural light and artificial light. The skylights created variable light field with PAR levels reaching 1200. The SUSPICION was the hobbyests corals were not able to adapt to the variable light field and/or the intensity of the light field.
