Well we have tried out the classifieds for a while now and while starting great is seems to have faded lately with little to no activity. Why? Well we really don't know if it's because of the current system that no one really likes or maybe it's just slow. After expressions from members and mods we are going to revisit this and decide what we should do to better the site.

So I need you to vote. ;)

I like the old way better. Just easier to click on the selling forum than to remember to go to the classified section.

keep in mind that we can keep both.

the current idea.......is to move coral selling back to the forum.

and keep the classifieds system open for sponsors and premium members. and one premium member perk would be the allowing of non-reef related items on the classifieds.

thus we can keep the feedback system.....as you don't have to buy something in the classifieds system in order to leave feedback.

Yes that would be awesome open up the selling forum again but keep the classifieds for us premium members and sponsors. I love the feedback system that is a great add on. But i do like the old selling forum threads a lot better.

good point. easiest way i can see to keep the feedback stuff unchanged, is to keep the selling group, and just delete the link to that selling area on the classifieds front page so no one can get to it.

or we can leave it, and just leave selling open to the classifieds AND a selling forum (really should be one or the other....but to keep the feedback system unchanged it would be worth to just keep the link).

I must not understand the feedback rating. I left a feedback that was for a vender purchase. Not thru the ads, but thru the profile.
 
the easiest way to not cause changes to the feedback system is to just leave all areas of the classifieds open as it is. but also open up the coral selling forum like we used to have.

then people can choose where they want to post things for sale......either in the selling forum, or the selling classifieds area.

in addition to that, the premium members classifieds area would change to non-reef related items.

the sponsors classifieds area would not change.

Yes keep everthing the way it is and open the selling forum back up. If people are looking for somehing we can point them to an ad in the classifieds. Simple. The feedback system is a must have I love it

Do we really think people are not posting things for sale because the format has changed? I personally like the classified system, but if the cause of the lack of posts is due to the lack of a selling "forum", then by all means open it back up.
