greetings all,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is mark. I’ve been in and out of the hobby since 2006 but recently started up again because of of my school asking me to teach a marine science class. What an opportunity!

Currently in the 6th week of cycling a 14 gal Cora life biocube that was from previous teacher...

Upgraded to the LED hood... added a cleanup crew... 3 turbo snails and 3 emerald crabs... now just waiting for parameters to be consistent so class can add some fish and corals...

Any suggestions? Advice moving forward?

We are testing with API 2x per week.

Thanks!

Mark

Welcome! My 5th grade teacher had aquariums in the class, and I've kept one ever since! That was the 70's and no one even thought of a marine sciences class in a rural public school in Ohio back then! I think it's great you will be teaching kids to appreciate organisms and systems they may never actually see if it weren't made possible by the hobby!

Welcome to R2R. Very cool running a tank in the school I imagine the kids are psyched to see the cycle complete and stock the tank. When I was a kid all I had was Jacques Cousteau :)
