Clay Pot

I was wondering if I put a Terra Cotta Clay Pot in our Reef Tank will this hold up or would it turn to Moosh. I've seen this before for Clown Fish and theirs looked really good. Is there something you have to do to the pot so it wouldn't leach anything into the tank or is it good just the way it is. Thanks

You can find terra cotta fish decorations at some of the big box pet stores every now and again

it should be fine, maybe to be safe, just put the pot in some fresh RO water for a week ahead of time and then test the water to be sure all is well
