Clean chaeto

Is it possible to clean chaeto by putting it in quarantine tank with copper to rid it of aiptasia without harming chaeto?

IME good Chaeto is rather resilient and can handle a soak in RODI for a couple of hours. Then put it in saltwater (in a separate container) and check for Aiptasia again the next day. Repeat if necessary. Have any others tried this? What was your experience?

Not hours. I dipped mine in Coral RX for 20 mins, than fresh RO water for another 10. The fresh RO water was actually really cold, but didn’t really matter because of the hardiness of the cheato.

Then I rinsed it off with saltwater and tossed it in the sump.

But I don’t believe this method would kill aiptasia. Just expressing how hardy cheato is.

To awnser the OPs question about copper, I don’t know, if I had to guess I would say it would live. Why not try a small amount first?
