Clean equipment after exposure to copper

So I have a Algae Free magnet cleaner in my QT. It was exposed to copper during treatment. How should I treat the magnet to remove the copper so I can use in the DT?

For the price you might as well buy a new one. But if you want to save it put it in a bucket with rodi water and carbon or cuprisorb with a small pump or air stone for water movement and let it sit for a few days.
