Clean green algae off gyre blades

Hi guys, so I’ve had a jebao gyre pump for about 6 months or so, it’s built up some green algae on its blades, I’ve got it apart and soaking in vinegar, coralline algae came off no problem, but the green algae on the blades is really stubborn, I’ve had them soaking for a couple of days now and scrubbing with a tooth brush isn’t working, and using a hobby knife to scrape them would take forever, I wasn’t sure about using bleach, anyone got any ideas to help me out? You can try a hand held acrylic algae scraper so you can dig into it more without messing up the blade like a knife would. Or you can gently try a razor blade, but that may dig into the plastic. Another option, but it may scuff up the blade, would be steel wool, like Brillo pads without the soap.

I thought I’d bite the bullet, the pump wasn’t that expensive so I thought, why not, bleach did the trick, it came off straight away!! I was really surprised, the problem with the blade is that they’re not a shiny smooth finish, they’re quite rough, hence why it was so hard to get off, I did thoroughly rinse it off let it dry and rinsed it again, it’s now back in the tank running and looking like new again
