I have a client's tank and he was severely overfeeding. I have told him to cut feeding in half and he did but now the clean up crew is dying so far we have lost the banded shrimp some snails and crabs is that due to feeding less and they starve or what?

Why do you think he was over-feeding? How much was he feeding, and how much now? I feed my fish twice a day. As long as he has the filtration to take care of the waste...

What exactly are the tanks parameters? What size tank and filtration type? It could just be that the tank is low on ca. How often is the water changed and how much? What kind of livestock and is this fish only or reef?
