Clean up crew for my 120g

Morning!

I have had my 120g up and running for about 6 weeks. I'm starting to get brown hair algae all over my rocks. My levels are perfect but it's feeding off of something. It started after I treated my fish with metro and focus for internal parasites. The water is also little cloudy

This is what I ordered from aquariumdepot.com

*80 Blue Leg Hermit Crabs
*20 Red Leg Hermit Crabs
*10 Scarlett Leg Hermit Crabs
*4 Emerald Crabs
*20 Turbo Snails
*80 Nassarius Snails
*30 Cerith Snails

Right now I have 25 blue hermits, 40 turbo sales.

I plan on giving some of these up to a friend, I think it might be to much for my tank. What are your toughs?

Holy Crab Package Batman!

Umm... that is a crazy high amount of hermits imo. It is also a lot of turbo's for a tank that size, I am surprised that you have been able to keep 40 of them alive in a tank this size.

I think the other snails aren't too far off.

Super-duper way too many cleaners for a 120. Especially a new-ish tank...

*1-2 Emerald Crabs
*5 Turbo Snails
*10 Nassarius Snails
*10 Cerith Snails

Work fast, the remainder are likely not going to have enough food to survive for long. If they get hungry, the crabs will start feeding on the snails too...
